Don’t be deceived by the Nissin i40’s svelte dimensions: This mini-marvel packs a Guide Number of 40 at 105mm, video lighting adjustable over 9 stops (a real boon at special events at gigs, where you can freely switch between videography and still photography), and a specification replete with high-end features. Although perfectly proportioned for smaller DSLRs and compact system cameras, the i40 is equally at home on full size DSLR models, weighs only 203g and fits easily into a pocket. The flash head features 180° horizontal and 90° vertical rotation and is powered by 4x AA batteries (not included) – which provide sufficient power for over two hundred full-power flashes or three and a half hours of video lighting. Why weigh yourself down, when this little wonder does it all?
Nissin i40 Flash Gun
The pocket size of Nissin i40 weights only 203g of weight (*1). It is suitable for filling shadows on even the sunniest of days, suitable for family shooting, indoor/ outdoor shooting and especially suitable for traveling. Professional functions are included: Wireless TTL mode (*4); Supports up to 1/8,000 seconds shutter speed (*4); Flash output of GN40 at 105mm; Video light function with 9 steps of output level adjustment; Simple operation panel with two selector dials to operate the flash; Flash head tilts up and rotates horizontally to right and left for making bounced lighting more versatile by utilizing more angles. A Soft box is supplied.

Nissin i40 has two selector dials controls: Function dial and Power dial. The Indicated lamp A/B/C will show the position of adjustment. Even beginners can quickly get started.

Professional flash head design
The flash head rotates horizontally 180° to right and left and tilts up 90°which is suitable for close up photography. This makes bounce shooting more arbitrary, with more angles that can be used.
Manual zoom (M zoom) NEW!
Nissi i40 support 24-105mm auto zoom.
And Manual Zoom are available in M, SD, SF, Wireless mode (*4). The manual setting you selected is memorized and remains unchanged when power on.

i40 has a wireless remote flash system as a slave unit.
You can enjoy creative flash photography with multiple lightings from the various directions. There are 3 slave modes provided.
Slave Digital (SD): i40 synchronizes to the pre-flash system. The master flash is to be set at TTL (E-TTL for Canon, i-TTL for Nikon and ADI/ P-TTL for Sony) mode.
Slave Film (SF): i40 synchronizes to the traditional single flash system. The master flash is to be set at manual mode. Studio lighting system synchronizes to this mode. This mode is also available for open flash, and for a standard flash in the market.

TTL FLASH LEVEL COMPENSATION
The power of the flash can be controlled with TTL flash level compensation. Whereas total exposure is controlled by the camera’s EV compensation function, the flash can compensate for the exposure on the main subject only, with little impact on the exposure of the background scene.
The flash power level can be adjusted from -2EV through +2EV by 0.5EV steps.
A firmware upgrade service is available for the Nissin i40, which provides a service terminal to upload the latest software. A charge for the firmware update service will apply, varying depending on the area. Please check at your local dealer for details about the update service.
